A smaller fitting open face helmet is something that has been on the minds of the Australian public now for the last decade. Something sleek with the safety features to stop us from doing serious damage in the case of an accident. Finally something comes closer than ever to fulfilling that void in our lives.
NEX Helmets have recently released what I believe to be the smallest fitting open face helmet on the market, modelled off the original KBC Jet's from many years ago these are a narrower fit across the head but seem to sit right down, around and over your head perfectly. It has a FRP Shell, which I believe is a Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic ( thank you Google ) as well as a removable, washable liner.
The helmet is very simplistic in it's design, plain colors no branding anywhere ( something which we all like when it comes to open face helmets ) and you have standard strap with no clips, bells, fluro safety harnesses or anything like that.
As far as the negatives are concerned, there aren't really any. It's still an Australian Road Legal Helmet so don't expect the thing to sit like a novelty skid lid you buy online which is made out of paper plates and party straws, it's the real deal.
All in all this is THE Road Legal open face helmet to have, I recommend it to all that want to ride open face.
